We are delighted to announce the creation of two new school libraries (BRIE). One is at IE16172, Señor Cautivo, in the rural community of El Espino, Sallique, which has approximately 92 pupils. The second is at IE 16049 Inmaculada Concepción in the rural community of Montegrande. This school has 630 pupils at primary and secondary level. Both libraries are located in the province of Jaén, in the department of Cajamarca.
The creation of these libraries helps to bring books to where they are most needed, serving as a meeting place for children, young people and teachers. It is a space where pupils can discover a love of reading, learning and sharing knowledge of Cajamarca’s oral traditions.
We congratulate the teachers on their initiative and commitment to setting up these libraries, and hope that our books will serve as a catalyst to encourage reading.
